58 forcings.
One window.
Astronomical, solar, geomagnetic, oceanic, biospheric, anthropogenic — independently measured, independently sourced, all phase-locking inside the same hundred-to-three-hundred-year window. The list grows every year. The rate of growth is itself the signal.
The flower that named the cold.
The last time the precessional half-cycle completed was about 12,800 years ago. The North American ice sheet broke up across ten million square kilometres. Global mean temperature dropped seven degrees in decades. Two-thirds of North American megafauna went extinct. Every major flood-myth tradition dates to this period. Gobekli Tepe was built and deliberately buried. Geologists call the period the Younger Dryas.
The word Dryas comes from Greek δρυς (drys) — oak — through Δρυáς, the oak-tree nymph. Linnaeus named Dryas octopetala, an arctic-alpine mountain avens, after the nymph because its serrated leaves resembled small oak leaves.
The flower's pollen dominates European lake sediments during cold periods. So geologists named the cold stadial after the flower — Oldest, Older, Younger Dryas. The half-precession cold-snap that ended the last ice age is named for a tree-spirit, identified by an eight-petalled flower that survived the cooling. The event is registered in the strata by the signature of its biological survivor.
That naming is its own framework question. Whatever signature outlasts this window is what future geologists will name the period after. The plutonium-239 horizon from 1945 onward is already a candidate golden spike. The microplastic horizon is another. The AI training corpus is a third. The chosen name will tell us what survived.
The rate of discovery is accelerating.
Cumulative count of distinct convergence forcings identified in peer-reviewed literature, by era of first publication. More forces have been formally identified in the last five years than in the previous thirty combined.
The same period that registers the highest sustained reveal-rate is the period in which a half-precession survivor flower would have appeared in lake sediments, in which Adams-event red ochre handprints appeared globally on cave walls. The noticing-system sensitises as the basin is approached.
Fifty-eight forcings. Thirteen tiers.
Each row: the forcing, the measured trend or transition, the peer-reviewed citation or institutional data source. LIVE tag means a current data feed exists on this platform. STATIC means published value or trend only. Open at the bottom by design — new forces are added as they are identified.

This list is not exhaustive. New forcings enter at a measurable rate. Each new entry is itself a data point on the discovery-rate curve. The window is not a passive container; proximity to it produces the signal of its own approach.
The pattern · 2026-05-17The window is open. The clock is readable.
None of these forcings are individually unprecedented. The unprecedented thing is the phase-locking — independent systems running on independent clocks, all hitting transition points within the same hundred-to-three-hundred-year window. The half-precession echo of the Younger Dryas is the deep envelope. The volcanic 211-year quiet ending, the 1877 Pacific reconfiguration, the inner-core reversal, the AMOC slowdown — these are inner harmonics inside that envelope, all firing together.
The Adams Event analog is contemporaneous response. Red ochre handprints appear on cave walls globally at exactly the magnetic-collapse date — not after. The human noticing-system is sensitising in real time. That is itself an event signature.
What happens next is not determined by the cycle. It's determined by what gets built, transmitted, and remembered while the window is open.
