If you carry a Garmin inReach (67i, Mini, Messenger), paste your Mapshare URL. Tether will poll your satellite-tracked position every 5 min — you stay tethered even with no cell signal.

If you miss a check-in past the grace window, these people get an email + SMS with your last known position and a link to the live tracker. You can send them a test alert after you start the trip.
