You were told you have
to be the source.
You don't.
You are not nothing. And you are not being played. You're a receiver. And you're tuned.
A radio doesn't write the song. A radio isn't being tricked. It's tuned — and the music comes through clean.
That's you. That's allowed. You don't have to invent the signal to carry it truly. You have to be tuned to it.
The pull works one way.It makes you feel like you wake up already failing.
Behind on a race no one showed you the start of. Short of a mark that moves the moment you reach it.
That feeling isn't information. It's a lever.
Once you believe you wake up failing, you'll hand your signal to anyone who promises to fix you — and then pay rent, forever, for what was already yours.
Naming the feeling is the whole defense. You don't have to find who built it. You have to feel it move and not obey it.
The thing no one can tune is a person who agrees with themselves.
Coherence is simple, and almost lost: your outside matching your inside. What you say, what you do, and what your body already knows — pointing the same direction.
A body at odds with itself can be steered. A body that's whole can't.
This isn't a mood. It's the keep — the part of you nothing outside reaches. You build it the boring way: stop performing the parts of your life you don't believe.
Real signal arrives from directions that never spoke to each other.
Something you can use tomorrow:
When one channel is screaming at you — one feed, one voice, one source, loud and alone — treat it as noise until something else, somewhere unconnected, says it too.
A truth shows up in places that couldn't have coordinated. A lie needs you looking at exactly one screen.
The loudest single source is almost never the signal. It's the thing standing in front of it.
Everyone can transmit.Almost no one can broadcast.
The thing you actually have to say can't be taken. It's inexhaustible. It's always there.
What gets taken is the channel that carries you to other people. Rent that channel, and you can be dropped, edited, switched off, forgotten the day you stop being useful.
So own one. However small. A medium that survives the removal of any single voice — including yours — is the only thing no one can sever.
That's not a metaphor. That's the whole fight, made practical.
Five hundred years ago a man set out to conquer, and was wrecked instead.
Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca sailed for Florida to take land. He lost everything — his ships, his men, his clothes, his name as a conqueror — and walked six thousand miles, naked and starving, across a country that wasn't his.
The people he expected to fight wept for him, and fed him.
And somewhere in that crossing, by his own account, he could lay hands on the sick and the wounds would close. He never claimed to understand it. He only wrote that it worked.
He didn't carry a building, or an office, or a title. He'd been stripped down to something that agreed with itself completely.
He was coherent. And the signal came through clean.
Stay tuned to the thing only you receive.Keep yourself coherent enough to carry it.And build something to send it through that no one can switch off.
That's it. That's the whole instruction.
