Sixth-Dynasty queen's pyramid at South Saqqara within the Pepi I funerary complex, built for Queen Ankhesenpepi III — daughter of Merenre and consort of Pepi II. Construction date approximately 2280 BCE. Excavated by the French mission at Saqqara during the early 2000s. Original base approximately 20 metres per side; original height around 12 metres. The substructure preserved a limestone burial chamber with abbreviated Pyramid Texts on the west wall, a sandstone sarcophagus emptied in antiquity, and a small cache of broken alabaster vessels inscribed with her name and titles, including King's Daughter and King's Wife. Her marriage to her uncle Pepi II is one of several documented sibling and avuncular unions among late-Sixth-Dynasty royals, used to keep the throne within a narrowing biological line.
A queen whose father, husband, and uncle were all kings — and whose pyramid is one of the smallest built for any of them.
