Late Old Kingdom or early First Intermediate Period pyramid at South Saqqara, attributed to Reherishefnakht — a non-royal official who built himself a small pyramid in conscious imitation of a king's monument. Construction date approximately 2150 BCE. Discovered by the French mission at Saqqara in 2005 and published by Vassil Dobrev. Original base approximately 13 metres per side; original height around 8 metres. The substructure preserved a vaulted limestone burial chamber inscribed with Pyramid Texts and Coffin Texts side by side — the earliest known instance of the two corpora appearing together in a single tomb, and the first documented case of Pyramid Texts being used by a non-royal occupant. Reherishefnakht's titles included Overseer of the Two Granaries and Overseer of Upper Egypt.
A bureaucrat who built himself a pyramid, copied the king's afterlife liturgy onto his own walls, and produced the textual hinge between two of the largest religious corpora in the ancient world.
