A modern meandering pavement labyrinth measuring 10.5 meters square in the precinct of Sankta Maria Cathedral (Cathedral of St. Mary) in Visby — Gotland's walled medieval capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral, consecrated in 1225, is the only one of Visby's 17 medieval churches still in use. The city's 3.4 km ring wall with 44 towers is the best-preserved medieval city wall in Scandinavia.
