Second of three subsidiary queen's pyramids at the south face of Menkaure's pyramid, designated G3-b. Base 31.5 metres per side, original height approximately 22 metres. The pyramid is unfinished; only the lower 16 courses were laid. The internal chamber, accessed by a descending corridor, was excavated by Vyse and Perring in 1837 and contained the partial remains of a young woman, likely the original burial. Adjacent to G3-a, the pyramid forms part of a tight grouping at the south-eastern corner of the Menkaure complex. The unfinished state, combined with the apparent presence of an actual interment, suggests the queen died before construction could be completed and was buried in the partial structure.
A queen of fourth-dynasty Egypt was buried in an unfinished pyramid that was never finished after she was placed inside it.
