Pyramid G3-c at Giza, the third and southernmost of the three small queens' pyramids in the Menkaure complex on the Giza Plateau. Construction date approximately 2532–2503 BCE during the reign of pharaoh Menkaure. Original base 31 metres per side; original height around 28 metres at a 51° slope. Excavated by George Reisner for the Harvard–Boston expedition between 1905 and 1925. The substructure preserved a granite-lined burial chamber, an emptied red granite sarcophagus, and a fragmentary skeleton of a young woman tentatively identified as queen Khamerernebty II, daughter of Khafre and probably consort of Menkaure. The mortuary chapel on the east face produced relief fragments naming the queen and a small offering basin of polished diorite.
The southernmost of three queens' pyramids in the Menkaure complex, built to the same template as G3-a and G3-b, in the cemetery that closed the Fourth-Dynasty royal building programme at Giza.
