Queens' pyramid 5 of Senusret III at Dahshur, fifth of seven small queens' pyramids around the main pyramid of pharaoh Senusret III. Construction date approximately 1850 BCE. Original base approximately 17 metres per side; original height around 14 metres at a steep slope. Excavated by Dieter Arnold for the Metropolitan Museum from 1990 onward. The substructure preserved a small vaulted burial chamber, fragmentary canopic equipment, and the lower courses of a mortuary chapel on the east face. The occupant has been tentatively identified as a princess of the Senusret III royal house but no preserved cartouche has secured the attribution. The complex of seven queens' pyramids around Senusret III is one of the smallest queens' cemeteries of the Twelfth Dynasty by structure count but produced more identified named royal women than any other Middle Kingdom royal complex.
A queen's pyramid in the cemetery whose burial chambers preserved the names that the parallel cemetery at Lisht did not.
