Found on baskets, pottery, jewelry, and carved into the desert landscape, the design is a living cultural symbol, not an archaeological relic. The labyrinth represents life's journey: the twisting path leads to the center where the sun god waits, and at the end of life, the soul passes through a final doorway. At 327.41° Giza bearing, the Tohono O'odham's ancestral territory spans the Sonoran Desert, where the same 7-circuit classical labyrinth pattern found in Crete and India appears independently — or through unknown transmission — in the Americas.
