Malinalco's Cuauhcalli (House of Eagles) is carved directly from living rock — a monolithic temple hewn from the mountainside cliff face by Aztec sculptors around 1501 CE. Eagle and jaguar warrior initiates descended through a serpent-mouth doorway into a circular chamber where carved eagle and jaguar skins lined the bench. This was the most sacred military-religious site of the Aztec warrior orders. The temple's position at 18.95°N, carved into volcanic bedrock at 1,740 meters elevation, gives it a 45.07° Giza bearing — nearly identical to Templo Mayor, suggesting deliberate geometric placement within the Aztec imperial grid.
