Arizona's red rock country sits atop 270 million years of iron oxide accumulation — hematite and magnetite saturating every sandstone formation. This is the original natural electromagnetic system; the iron architecture of SoHo and Pittsburgh are manufactured echoes of what Sedona does geologically. Four documented vortex sites — Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Airport Mesa, and Boynton Canyon — generate measurable magnetic anomalies that affect compass readings and, according to researchers, human consciousness. The Hopi consider the entire region sacred. Sedona sits on the Nazca-Angkor great circle line (0.19° deviation), connecting it to the two other great ancient alignment sites. At 32.99° to Giza, it bears almost exactly one-third of a right angle to the pyramids.
