Skellig Michael

A jagged pyramidal island rising 218 meters from the North Atlantic, 12 kilometers off Ireland's Kerry coast, Skellig Michael sheltered a monastery of beehive stone huts from the 6th to 12th centuries — one of Europe's most extreme hermitages. The monks carved 618 steps into the living rock to reach the summit. The island sits at the southwestern terminus of the Apollo/St. Michael ley line, a great-circle alignment of dragon-slaying sanctuaries stretching 2,500 km to Mount Carmel in Israel, passing through St. Michael's Mount (Cornwall), Mont Saint-Michel (Normandy), Sacra di San Michele (Piedmont), and Delphi. At Giza bearing 109.07° and 4,175 km from the Pyramid Plateau, Skellig's isolation preserved its beehive cells in nearly pristine condition for 1,400 years. The island's geology — 374-million-year-old Old Red Sandstone — creates a natural resonance chamber amplified by constant Atlantic wave action against its base.
