Sixth-Dynasty queen's pyramid at North Saqqara, north of the Teti complex, attributed to Queen Khuit II — consort of Teti and possibly mother of Userkare. Construction date approximately 2333 BCE. The superstructure has eroded almost entirely; the base measured roughly 23 metres per side. Excavated by the Hawass mission between 1995 and 2007, the substructure preserved a granite-lined burial chamber with an inscribed limestone sarcophagus and a fragmentary set of Pyramid Texts cut directly into the chamber walls — confirming that within a single decade of the spells first appearing in Unas's pyramid they had spread to royal women. The mortuary chapel on the east face produced relief fragments showing Khuit receiving offerings, with her name and titles preserved in cartouches. Whether her son Userkare actually reigned, was a usurper, or was a regent for the infant Pepi I remains unresolved.
A queen whose pyramid yields the texts but whose lineage the king lists try to forget — and the next pharaoh on the throne was either her son, her killer, or both.
