The Great Pyramid of Cholula is the largest pyramid by volume ever constructed on Earth — 4.45 million cubic meters, dwarfing even the Great Pyramid of Giza. Its base covers 16 hectares (nearly four city blocks per side). Built in four stages from the 3rd century BCE to the 9th century CE, it was gradually buried under sediment and vegetation. Spanish colonizers, unaware of the pyramid beneath, erected the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios on its summit in 1594. Over 8 kilometers of tunnels have been excavated through its interior. Its 45.74° Giza bearing places it in direct geometric conversation with Egyptian monuments across 12,333 km of ocean.
