Sousse Roman Labyrinth Mosaic

A Roman labyrinth mosaic from ancient Hadrumetum — modern Sousse, Tunisia — featuring Theseus and the Minotaur at its center, now in the Sousse Archaeological Museum. Hadrumetum was founded by Phoenicians before 600 BCE and became one of Roman Africa's wealthiest cities. The Sousse museum houses one of the finest collections of Roman mosaics in the world, second only to the Bardo in Tunis. At Giza bearing 294.19°, this North African labyrinth sits on the same Mediterranean band as the Algerian, Tunisian, and Libyan mosaic labyrinths.
