Si Satchanalai, the crown prince's residence and second capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom, sits on the banks of the Yom River surrounded by remnants of the old city walls and moat. Wat Chedi Chet Thaeo contains 32 stupas of different sizes blending Sukhothai, Sri Lankan, and Lanna architectural styles — a visual encyclopedia of Buddhist stupa design. Wat Chang Lom features a bell-shaped stupa flanked by 39 sculpted elephants. The adjacent kilns produced Sangkhalok ceramics exported across Southeast Asia. At 295.31° bearing to Giza across 7,026 km, twinned with Sukhothai on the Thai civilization corridor.
