Prasat Kravan consists of five brick towers aligned in a single north-south row on a shared platform — simple in form but significant for its unique interior brick bas-reliefs depicting Vishnu and Lakshmi. These carved brick interiors are found almost nowhere else in the Khmer world. The name means "cardamom" after the kravan tree. Built in 921 CE, the temple was restored by French archaeologists who replaced damaged bricks with new ones marked with "CA" (Conservation d'Angkor). East of Angkor Wat. At 297.27° Giza bearing, Prasat Kravan's five aligned towers encode a linear geometry that contrasts with the quincunx arrangements of other Angkor temples.
