Candi Pawon is a small Buddhist temple positioned between Borobudur and Mendut in a sacred east-west alignment across the Kedu Plain of Central Java. Its proportions follow the 4:6:9 ratio of Sailendra-dynasty architecture. Exquisite kala-makara reliefs guard the entrances, while kalpataru and kinnara carvings adorn the walls. Possibly a purification station on the Borobudur pilgrimage route. At 301.29° Giza bearing, Pawon's intermediate position demonstrates how sacred geometry operates not just at individual sites but in the spaces between them.
