Hilton Turf Maze is a turf-cut labyrinth in Cambridgeshire, England. The design is a medieval chartres layout with 9 circuits, 10 walls, approximately 16.8 metres in diameter, built of turf. Documented age: 1660 AD (1660 AD). Current condition: restored. Cut into the village green in 1660 by William Sparrow — as recorded on the central stone pillar that still stands — the Hilton turf maze is one of England's best-documented historic labyrinths. Documentation sources: Matthews 1922. A pattern with one entrance, one path, and no choices — repeated by unrelated cultures across thousands of years. The labyrinth is one of several hundred sites of this type catalogued globally; each preserves the same unicursal walking-pattern with regional variation in scale, material, and date.

The labyrinth tradition spans at least 4,000 years of documented practice across northern Europe, the Mediterranean, the British Isles, North America, and the Indian subcontinent.
