Shepherd's Race, Boughton Green

A turf maze at Boughton Green in Northamptonshire known as 'Shepherd's Race,' destroyed by a military encampment during World War I in 1916-17. Boughton Green hosted one of England's great medieval fairs, chartered in 1353, where the maze served as entertainment during the three-day event.
