The Temple of Viracocha at Raqchi was the largest single-roofed structure in the Inca Empire: 92 meters long, 25.5 meters wide, with walls rising 12 meters topped by a massive gable roof. A central stone wall with adobe upper section ran the full length, pierced by doorways. Flanking the temple, 152 identical circular storehouses — each 8 meters in diameter — stored provisions for the Qhapaq Nan highway system. The site honors Viracocha, the creator deity who emerged from Lake Titicaca. At 62.59° Giza bearing along the Vilcanota River, Raqchi sits on the energy corridor connecting Cusco to the Titicaca basin.
