A floor labyrinth in Alatri Cathedral, which sits atop one of the most impressive pre-Roman polygonal wall acropolises in Italy. Alatri's cyclopean walls, built without mortar from massive irregular limestone blocks fitted with extraordinary precision, date to the 5th-4th century BCE and rival the walls of Mycenae. The cathedral labyrinth, layered upon this megalithic foundation, creates a palimpsest of sacred geometry spanning two millennia. At Giza bearing 314.16°, the site embodies the architectural continuum from pre-Roman engineering to medieval Christian sacred space.
