Western Xia Mausoleum 1 (Yuling) is the tomb of Li Jiqian (963-1004 CE), posthumously honored as the founding ancestor of the Western Xia dynasty. The Tangut people built nine imperial mausoleums at the foot of the Helan Mountains near modern Yinchuan, creating a necropolis dubbed the "Pyramids of China." Each tomb features a distinctive octagonal cone-shaped tower of rammed earth — a form unique to Western Xia funerary architecture. At 286.70° Giza bearing, the entire Western Xia necropolis shares a near-identical geometric line to Giza, placing all nine tombs on a single alignment corridor across 6,760 km.
