Western Xia Mausoleum 7 (Shouling) is the tomb of Emperor Renzong (Li Renxiao, r. 1139-1193 CE), the longest-reigning Western Xia emperor and patron of the era's greatest cultural achievements, including the monumental translation of the Buddhist Tripitaka into Tangut script. Renzong's 54-year reign brought stability and artistic refinement. The mausoleum's octagonal rammed-earth tower rises from the Helan Mountain piedmont alongside its eight companions. At 286.67° Giza bearing, Shouling continues the geometric precision of this necropolis — nine imperial tombs spanning 200+ years placed along an alignment corridor less than 0.04° wide.
