Western Xia Mausoleum 4 (Anling) houses the remains of Emperor Yizong (Li Liangzuo, r. 1048-1067 CE), who continued his father's project of cultural synthesis between Tangut, Chinese, and Tibetan traditions. The mausoleum's octagonal cone structure shows significant weathering from the arid Ningxia climate, yet its rammed-earth core has survived nearly a millennium. Archaeological surveys have mapped the complex's outer wall, corner towers, and ceremonial approach. At 286.68° Giza bearing, Anling continues the Western Xia alignment thread — a dynasty that built its entire royal necropolis along a single bearing line.
